<p>A roughly triangular fragment, consisting of most of the bottom proper left quarter of the original oval seal. The extant part bears only text, no imagery. Size figures are approximate; all published sources give the lengths of the sides of the "triangle" as 3 by 2.5 by 2.375 inches. Height and width are my estimates from these figures.</p>

<p>Discovered in 1927-28 during the excavation of Monastery site 1 at Nālandā along with %OB00034, %OB00044, %OB00046, %OB00047, %OB00048, %OB00049 and %OB00052. All these seals are clay impressions that seem to have been baked accidentally in a monastery fire.</p>
