Katni Plates of Jayanatha, year 182

Three plates, identical in size, slightly thickened at the rims, smooth, inscribed on one side only. Originally linked with a ring (now lost) passing through a hole, 1 cm in diameter, at the centre of the top edge. The total weight of the plates is 1825 grams.

History details
Found probably around 1930 in the vicinity of Uchaharā (24.395399, 80.795922) in Satna district. In the early 1970's the plates were in the possession of the finder's son (living at the time in Katni); later deposited in the Rani Durgavati Museum of Jabalpur.
